Bàn cổ (Đức) (Manu). Danh hiệu tượng trưng của Đấng cao cả là Nhà cai trị, tổ phụ nguyên thủy và là vị lãnh đạo nhân loại. Từ này theo ngữ căn Bắc Phạn là “man” – suy tư.
Manu. The representative name of the great Being Who is the Ruler, primal progenitor and chief of the human race. It comes from the Sanskrit root “man”—to think.
Giai kỳ sinh hóa (Manvantara). Một thời kỳ hoạt động, đối lại với thời kỳ ngơi nghỉ, không kể là chu kỳ dài hay ngắn. Thường được dùng để chỉ một thời kỳ hoạt động của hành tinh và bảy giống dân trên đó.
Manvantara. A period of activity as opposed to a period of rest, without reference to any specific length of cycle. Frequently used to express a period of planetary activity and its seven races.
Ảo ảnh (Maya). Từ Bắc Phạn nghĩa là “Ảo tưởng.” Thuộc về nguyên lý của sắc tướng hay giới hạn. Kết quả của sự biểu hiện. Thường được dùng theo nghĩa tương đối cho các hiện tượng hay những dáng vẻ bề ngoài do trí tuệ tạo nên.
Maya. Sanskrit, “Illusion.” Of the principle of form or limitation. The result of manifestation. Generally used in a relative sense for phenomena or objective appearances that are created by the mind.
Mayavi Rupa. Từ Bắc Phạn, có nghĩa là “Thể ảo.” Đó là thể biểu hiện do vị Chân sư tạo nên, bằng tác động của ý chí, để sử dụng trong tam giới. Nó không liên kết về mặt vật chất với thể xác. Nó thuộc về tinh thần, siêu phàm, và đi khắp nơi không trở ngại. Nó được kiến tạo bởi quyền năng của hạ trí, bằng loại vật chất cảm dục cao nhất.
Mayavi Rupa. Sanskrit “Illusive Form.” It is the body of manifestation created by the adept by an act of will for use in the three worlds. It has no material connection with the physical body. It is spiritual and ethereal and passes everywhere without let or hindrance. It is built by the power of the lower mind, of the highest type of astral matter.

Chân thần (Monad). Đơn nguyên Duy nhất. Tinh thần tam phân trên cõi của mình. Trong huyền bí học, từ này thường có nghĩa là tam nguyên hợp nhất – Atma, Buddhi, Manas; Ý chí tinh thần, Trực giác và Thượng trí – hay là phần bất tử của con người, luân hồi trong các giới thấp và tiến bộ dần qua các giới này, đến nhân loại và từ đó đạt được mục đích cuối cùng.
