Như trước kia tôi đã nói với bạn, một sự xung đột cổ xưa một lần nữa đang hoàn toàn chế ngự, và nhân loại hiện nay đang có cơ hội giải quyết việc đó một lần dứt khoát, và – cho mãi về sau – được thoải mái trong một ý thức cho đến nay không được biết đến. Sự xung đột này có ba giai đoạn:
As I have earlier told you, an ancient conflict is again in full swing and humanity has now the opportunity to settle it once and for all, and—for ever after—be free in a sense not hitherto known. This conflict falls into three stages:
1. Giai đoạn xung đột trên cõi trần mà hiện giờ chúng ta đang bận rộn và không có lối thoát khỏi đó.
1. The stage of physical warfare in which we are now engaged and from which there is no escape.
Giai đoạn này đòi hỏi Ý–chí–chiến–thắng (Will–to–victory)
This requires the Will-to-victory.
2. Giai đoạn tái tổ chức các sự việc thế giới khi chiến tranh kết thúc. Bản thân giai đoạn này có thể có hai thời kỳ:
2. The stage of reorganising world affairs when the war is over. This should properly fall into two phases:
a. Việc thiết lập các mối liên giao đúng đắn của con người trong cuộc đình chiến kéo dài, nếu có thể được. Theo nhiều cách, thời kỳ này sẽ chứng tỏ cũng khó khăn như chính cuộc chiến, nhưng sẽ tác động trên các phân cảnh trí tuệ và tình cảm của cuộc xung đột, thay vì ở cõi trần.
a. The establishing of right human relations during a prolonged armistice, if possible. This phase will prove in many ways as difficult as the war itself, but will work out on mental and emotional levels of warfare, instead of physical.
b. Nhiệm vụ phục hồi. Nhiệm vụ này sẽ gồm cả hai phạm vi cõi trần và cõi tinh thần, và sẽ bao hàm các hoạt động trải dài mọi cách, từ việc xây dựng lại các thành phố bị phá hoại, việc phục hồi lại đất đai bị đốt phá, chăm sóc tâm lý cho thanh niên, người bị bệnh tâm trí và bị mất phương hướng, và trình bày trở lại các giá trị tâm linh thiết yếu phải hướng dẫn nhân loại trong tương lai.
b. The task of rehabilitation. This will be both physical and spiritual in scope and will embrace those activities which stretch all the way from the rebuilding of blasted cities, the restoration of the scorched earth, the psychological care of the youth, the sick in mind and the bewildered, and the re-enunciation of the essential spiritual values which must guide humanity in the future.
Giai đoạn này sẽ đòi hỏi Ý–chí–hành–thiện (Will–to–good).
This will involve the Will-to-good.
3. Giai đoạn mà trong đó việc nhận thức các cơ hội của hòa bình, việc sử dụng đúng đắn về an ninh, và nền giáo dục có kế hoạch cho thanh niên của vùng đất theo các nguyên tắc của kỷ nguyên mới, sẽ đến.
3. The stage wherein will come the recognition of the opportunities of peace, the right use of security, and the planned education of the youth of all lands in the principles of the new age.
Giai đoạn này sẽ đòi hỏi Ý–chí–tổ–chức (Will–to–organise).
This will involve the Will-to-organise.

Thus on all three levels of human living, mankind will be conditioned by a tendency towards the good, the beautiful and the true. Speaking esoterically, the personality of humanity will be integrated and reoriented towards the good
