Bấy giờ, toàn gia đình nhân loại (trừ một số phần trăm những người gia nhập giới nhân loại quá trễ nên linh hồn không thể bừng nở trọn vẹn) sẽ trở thành những người Con của Thượng Đế. Các quyền năng của Thượng Đế trong họ được khai mở và sử dụng hữu thức ở cõi trần và trong thể xác. Patanjali cho biết hành giả sẽ đạt đến trình độ này khi theo đúng một số phương pháp, qui tắc và ba điều sau đây:
contribute this fuller development to the general economy, and the entire human family (with the exception of a percentage which entered the race too late to permit of the full flowering of the soul) will manifest as Sons of God with all the powers of the God unfolded and consciously used on the physical plane and in the physical body. Patanjali says that three things will bring this about, coupled with the following of certain methods and rules, and these three are:
1. Nhiệt vọng bừng cháy, tức là sự chế ngự con người ở cõi trần đến mức mọi nguyên tử trong cơ thể của y đều bừng cháy với lòng nhiệt thành và nỗ lực,
1. Fiery aspiration, the domination of the physical man so that every atom of his body is afire with zeal and endeavor,
2. Thấu hiểu tinh thần, là khả năng của thể trí có thể nhìn xuyên qua một biểu tượng, hay thấu đến cái chủ thể ẩn trong đối tượng,
2. Spiritual reading, which has reference to the capacity of the mental body to see back of a symbol or to touch the subject lying back of the object,
3. Sùng kính Ishvara, liên quan đến thể cảm dục hay thể tình cảm, có nghĩa là trọn cả tâm hồn trào dâng tình thương hướng về Thượng Đế − Thượng Đế trong tâm của hành giả, Thượng Đế trong tâm người huynh đệ của y, và Thượng Đế mà y thấy trong mọi hình hài, sắc tướng.
3. Devotion to Ishvara, which relates to the astral or emotional body, the whole heart poured out in love to God—God in his own heart, God in the heart of his brother, and God as seen in every form.
Nhiệt vọng bừng cháy là sự thăng hoa của karma yoga. Sùng kính Ishvara là sự thăng hoa của bhakti yoga. Trong khi đó, thấu hiểu tinh thần là bước đầu trên con đường Raja Yoga.
Fiery aspiration is the sublimation of karma yoga. Devotion to Ishvara is the sublimation of bhakti yoga, whilst spiritual reading is the first step to Raja Yoga.
