Và ngày ấy y vẫn bị trói buộc vào vòng tái sinh, và phải khoác lấy hình thể. Người môn sinh cần thận trọng lưu ý rằng năm chướng ngại nói trên là nguyên nhân của tất cả các hoạt động của phàm ngã hay phàm nhân. mọi điều người ấy làm đều dựa vào một trong các chướng ngại đó. Không hành động nào của một người bình thường trong tam giới này không là hậu quả của sự vô minh cùng với các đồng hóa và phản ứng sai lầm kèm theo.
so long will he initiate those activities which will produce inevitable effects, and just so long will he be tied to the wheel of rebirth and be condemned to form-taking. The student should carefully note that these five hindrances are the cause of all the activities of the lower personality or the lower man. Everything he does is based on one or other of them and there is no action of the average man in the three worlds which is not the outcome of ignorance and its accompanying erroneous identifications and reactions.
Khi các chướng ngại được thắng phục, và sự vô minh, là mảnh đất sản sinh tất cả các chướng ngại ấy, được thay thế bởi minh triết thiêng liêng, thì ngày càng ít hậu quả biểu lộ ở cõi trần. Bấy giờ, các xiềng xích trói buộc hành giả vào bánh xe luân hồi trở lại thế gian dần dần bị cắt đứt. Các xiềng xích này có ba loại, giống như vô minh cũng gồm ba phương diện, trên ba cảnh giới của tâm thức, nơi con người đang tiến hóa. Khi trường vô minh trở thành trường kinh nghiệm hữu thức, và khi cảm thấy các xiềng xích này gây trở ngại và hạn chế, thì bấy giờ người đệ tử tương lai đã tiến một bước dài hướng về tiến trình giải thoát. Khi y có thể tiến hành phấn đấu hướng nội, vào những gì mà Ganganatha Jha gọi là “sự sống không biểu hiện”, mà chúng ta thường gọi là “các cảnh giới tế vi”, tức là y đi vào Phòng Học tập. Bấy giờ y chặt đứt những xiềng xích mà kama (hay dục vọng) và việc sử dụng thể trí sai lạc đã tạo nên. Về sau, y sẽ đi vào Phòng minh triết và được truyền dạy một số phương pháp nội môn và huyền môn để đẩy nhanh tiến trình giải thoát.
As the hindrances are overcome and ignorance, the field of them all, is superseded by divine wisdom, there are fewer and fewer effects to work out on the physical plane, and the chains which link a man to the great wheel of physical manifestation are severed one by one. These chains are triple just as the field of ignorance is triple, being the three great planes of consciousness which are the field of human evolution. When the field of ignorance becomes the field of conscious experience and when the chains are felt to be fetters and limitations, the would be chela has made a tremendous step forward in the liberating process. When he can carry the struggle inward into what Ganganatha Jha calls “the unmanifested life” and which we frequently call “the subtler planes” he is entering the Hall of Learning and is severing those fetters which kama (or desire) and the wrong use of the mind have so subtly forged. Later he will enter the Hall of Wisdom and be taught certain esoteric and occult methods of hastening the liberating process.
