Các quyền năng hoạch đắc gồm hai nhóm:
The powers gained fall into two main groups called:
a. Các quyền năng loại thấp, hay siddhi bậc thấp.
a. Lower psychic powers, the lower siddhis.
b. Các quyền năng tinh thần hay siddhi bậc cao.
b. Spiritual powers or the higher siddhis.
Các quyền năng loại thấp là kết quả của ý thức hồn thú nơi mỗi người hòa hợp với anima mundi hay linh hồn của thế giới. Đó là phương diện nội tại của tất cả các hình tướng trong tam giới, của tất cả các cơ thể trong bốn trường tiến hóa của thiên nhiên. Các quyền năng cao siêu là kết quả của sự phát triển tâm thức tập thể, trạng thái thứ hai của thiên tính. Chúng không những bao gồm các quyền năng thấp, mà còn giúp hành giả giao tiếp với những vị và những hình thức sống trong các lĩnh vực tinh thần. Theo các huyền bí gia thì đây là hai cảnh giới cao siêu hơn tam giới. Chúng bao gồm cả phạm vi tiến hóa của con người, ở cấp nhân loại và siêu nhân loại.
The lower powers are the result of the consciousness of the animal soul in man being en rapport with the anima mundi or the soul of the world, the subjective side of all forms in the three worlds, of all bodies in the four kingdoms of nature. The higher powers are the result of the development of group consciousness, of the second aspect of divinity. They not only include the lesser powers but put a man en rapport with those existences and forms of life which are to be found in the spiritual realms, or, as the occultist would say, on those two planes which are beyond the three worlds, and which cover the entire scale of man's evolution, human and superhuman.
Mục tiêu của người tìm đạo chân chính là khai mở các quyền năng cao siêu vừa kể. Chúng bao gồm sự hiểu biết trực tiếp, nhận thức trực giác, thấu hiểu tinh thần, thị kiến thuần khiết, và đạt được minh triết. Chúng khác với các quyền năng thấp, vì chúng loại bỏ các quyền năng thấp. Các quyền năng cao này được mô tả chính xác trong Quyển III, Câu 37:
The goal of the true aspirant is the unfoldment of these higher powers which can be covered by the terms direct knowledge, intuitive perception, spiritual insight, pure vision, the attainment of the wisdom. They are different from the lower powers, for they abrogate them. These latter are accurately described for us in Book III, Sutra 37:

“These powers are obstacles to the highest spiritual realization, but serve as magical powers in the objective worlds.”
