3. Siêu thoát khỏi dục vọng. Những sự vật của cảm nhận giác quan trong tam giới không còn hấp dẫn hay quyến rũ được Ngài. Tâm thức của Ngài nay hướng nội và hướng thượng, và không hề hướng ngoại hay hướng hạ. Ngài ngự ở tâm điểm và những gì ở ngoại vi không còn hấp dẫn được Ngài. Sự khát khao kinh nghiệm, sự thèm muốn đời sống ở cõi trần, và sự ham mê những loại hình hài, sắc tướng khác nhau không còn sức thu hút đối với Ngài. Ngài đã thể nghiệm và biết, đã đau khổ và bị buộc phải đầu thai do lòng khao khát cái phi-ngã. Nay tất cả đều chấm dứt, và Ngài là linh hồn giải thoát.
3. Free from desire. No longer do the things of sensuous perception on any of the three planes attract or allure Him. His consciousness is inward and upward. It is no longer downward and outgoing. He is at the centre and the periphery no longer attracts him. The longing for experience, the craving for physical plane existence, and the desire for the form aspect in its many variations has for him no appeal. He has experienced, He knows, He has suffered, and He has been forced into incarnation through His longing for the not-self. Now all that is ended and He is the freed soul.

Theo ý nghĩa đại vũ trụ, Thượng Đế là vị Thầy của tất cả. Ngài bao gồm sự toàn tri, và (dĩ nhiên) là tất cả các trạng thái tâm thức. Ngài là linh hồn của muôn loài vạn vật. Linh hồn của hạt nguyên tử vật chất cũng như linh hồn của mọi người đều là thành phần trong nhận thức vô hạn của Ngài. Linh hồn của con người cũng có tiềm năng đó, và khi tâm thức không tự đồng hóa với các vận cụ hay cơ quan của nó, thì mầm mống của toàn tri bắt đầu nảy nở. In the macrocosmic sense God is the Master of all and He is the sum total of omniscience, being (as is easily seen) the sum total of all states of consciousness. He is the soul of all things, and the soul of the atom of matter as well as the souls of men are a part of His infinite realisation. The soul of the human being is potentially the same, and as soon as the consciousness ceases to identify itself with its vehicles or organs, the germ of all knowledge begins to expand. In the disciple, the adept, Master or Mahatma, in the Christ, the Buddha, and in the Lord of the World, Who is mentioned in the Bible as the Ancient of Days, this “germ of all knowledge” can be seen at differing stages of unfoldment. God consciousness
