10b. Neptune in the Houses.
In Neptune's house we may be looking at life “through rose-coloured glasses.” If so, this is where we must deal with the affairs of the house and relate to the people we meet there, practically and discriminatively.
Neptune in 1. Emotional people will look at life through the distorting and glamorous Neptune light, so that things look nicer that they are. This must be overcome. The goal is to avoid being naive about life and to be more discriminating. In spiritually advanced people, there is a clear and transparent approach to life and a compassionate urge to help the suffering.
Neptune in 2. People who have emotional attachments to money, will lack of discernment in how they use it and this could lead to financial losses. It is important to be scrupulously honest with money and possessions and clear about how it is used. But generally, there is a desire to give all to help people. Much good can be done if this is applied intelligently, Neptune in 2, could also cause the leakage of personal vitality.
Neptune in 3. Communications are confused. This is caused either by a tendency to lie by omission, fudging the truth, or naïvely believing everything that is heard. There is a need to train the mind to think clearly, with discernment and to speak the plain truth. Working positively, this placement gives the gift of communicating in a way that inspires and heals people.
Neptune in 4. Something is not right in the home. For example, a parent could be an alcoholic, there could be sexual abuse, or religion is being used to manipulate family members. There is a great need to be very honest in family discussions and to talk about toxic things - not avoid them just to keep the peace or to avoid a scandal. Potentially, love and compassion in the home environment will be nurturing and loving for all.
Neptune in 5. This placement can give inspired creativity and the ability to create beautiful works of art that uplift people. More seriously, it can sometimes indicate something unhealthy going on in relations with children or lovers. If so, everything needs to be brought into the open and dealt with so healing can begin. If this approach is taken, in time there can be compassion and forgiveness.
Neptune in 6. Confusion or unhappiness at work will result in the weakening of vitality and strange illnesses. If this is the case, it is important to be clear and honest about what is going on and to avoid going into denial. Positively, it suggests Neptunc-like skills and talents will be of benefit in earning a living in careers such as being a spiritual worker, healer or counsellor, a swim or sailing coach, artist or poet.
Neptune in 7. Intimate relations need refining. It is possible that a lack of trust in oneself to be able to handle rejection is behind the confusion that rises in close unions. This pattern will attract people who are confused, deceitful, weak or addicted. There is a great need to trust, to be transparent and honest - with oneself. This will enable truly beautiful relationships to be formed with people who are both sensitive and ethical.
Neptune in 8. Something unhealthy in the life or psyche needs to be transformed. For instance, an unhealthy emotional attachment to a person or to a cult, or perverse sexual habits or desires. Either way, discrimination is required, sexual cleanness and integrity when handling other people's money. Positively, there is a gift for spiritual healing and for the development of metaphysical gifts. These should be used selflessly.
Neptune in 9. Being hoodwinked by a false teacher is possible. Any message that is insulting to the intelligence or that manipulates through false flattery, should be avoided. If discernment is applied when choosing a path to follow, the right and ethical teacher will appear. The potential exists, if the right teaching or philosophy is followed - and discrimination is applied; to become a spiritual teacher oneself.
Neptune in 10. Best carcers are those that involve healing or the spiritual - or for the more creative, in the arts or film. Sometimes it may take some time and many attempts to find a suitable vocation. It is likely that a spiritual experience at work, or an important teacher coming into the life could lead to a positive change in life direction. The potential exists to become someone to whom people look up to, revere and idolise.
Neptune in 11. There is a past-life tendency to be drawn to people who have unhealthy addictions or habits, or who are confused about what they want from life. Consequently, friends and groups need to be reassessed to ensure they are healthy and positive for the current and future life direction. With discernment, the potential exists to find the ideal group in which to thrive and grow spiritually and psychologically.
Neptune in 12. It is possible that past-life religious beliefs that cause fear and guilt are undermining resolve and the ability to move forwards. If so, these need to be pulled up into the light of day so they can be eliminated. Ultra-sensitive to suffering, this placement can lead to the development of compassion and understanding. Giving selflessly to help life's victims will bring many blessings from unseen sources.
