In each sign, Vesta represents a sacred cause that we should attend to in order to strengthen the inner spiritual flame.

Vesta in Aries. Emotional purification is required and bringing under control the tendency to react too quickly and aggressively. With this combination, we should withdraw periodically to align with the pure flame of spirit and dedicate the life towards becoming a disciplined and thoughtful leader. The freedom to explore and to go boldly forwards into life should be cultivated.

Vesta in Taurus. The desire nature needs purifying and any lustful appetites that keep us in situations or relationships that are unhealthy. Periodic withdrawal into a sacred space, health spa or healing centre to purify the body, mind and spirit will be beneficial. The flame of aspiration for higher and finer things in life should be fanned by visiting holy places, studying wisdom texts or by enjoying and appreciating cultural beauties such as fine art or music,

Vesta in Gemini. The mission is to cultivate the spark of mental-creativity by guarding the visions received in contemplation and original ideas that follow prior to their outer use and expression. Then, when presented to the public, they will be accurate representations of messages received from the sacred source within. Withdrawing periodically to fan the flame of inner creativity is required.

Vesta in Cancer. The mission is to purify the emotional nature so that its storms and tempers no longer dominate the life and relationships. Periodic withdrawal to practice balancing disciplines and meditations to purify and quieten this body, perhaps also to do inner-child healing work will be beneficial. The flame of wisdom that is uncontaminated by glamour should be cultivated and used to guide decision making.

Vesta in Leo. The mission is to nurture the sacred flame of one's true identity by withdrawing periodically (such as in morning meditation), to realign with the soul, and connect with the authentic self by asking and then answering the question, “Who am I?” This will help to lift focus out of the ego and mute its demand to dominate and control. Integrity in leadership should be cultivated and expressed.

Vesta in Virgo. The sacred mission is to nurture the spirit of true love and wisdom that is seeking birth through the conscious self, and to purify the nature and life so it can find expression. Virgo is closely related to the Vestal Virgins, so dedicating oneself fully to this task - in order to better serve others, is required.

Vesta in Libra. The task is to nourish and cultivate the flame of relating with others in a sacred sense, to ensure the energy inter-actions are pure and honest and are uncontaminated by lies or deceit. This will require periodic withdrawals to analyse how we are doing in this regard and making adjustments if necessary. Taking time as a couple to go on retreat, into a private space to renew the passion and fire of the union will be beneficial.

Vesta in Scorpio. Guarding the flame of one's sexuality and preventing contamination through promiscuity, unhealthy thoughts or other misuse is the mission. The same applies to the emotional life. Both need purification and the transformation of any negative patterns or habits. Periods of celibacy or occult practices to bring inner purity and balance will be helpful.

Vesta in Sagittarius. The sacred duty is to guard the flame of aspiration to reach towards the heights and to grow in spirit and understanding. To this end, the lower appetites and pursuit of material pleasures should be curbed and journeys made to sacred places to foster the higher impulse. Protect freedoms, such as the right to explore and practice one's sacred beliefs, morals and philosophies.

Vesta in Capricorn. The mission is to keep aflame moral codes and traditions that are healthy and that contribute positively to personal growth. This is assisted by cutting away unnecessary rules, duties and unhealthy ambitions that bind the soul to the material world. If there is confusion, then periodic withdrawals to assess what to let go of, and which way forwards is the best way to go, will be beneficial. Taking on appropriate responsibilities is part of this experience.

Vesta in Aquarius. The task is to protect the sacred fire that drives humanity forwards into the New Age of universal brotherhood and social equality and to help this progression by contributing original ideas and helpful science. Fighting for the rights of minorities and for right human relations is a sacred duty. Private retreats with like-minded souls to clarify the best way to proceed will strengthen the flame.

Vesta in Pisces. Strengthening the sacred flame of spirit within through silent and reverential contemplation, or through artistic expression is the goal. This will play out naturally in the life as a spontaneous aspiration to serve and to help the needy and suffering. Periodic withdrawals into beautiful spiritual centres or sacred places in forests, will help to strengthen the inner link.
