North-node in 1 - south-node in 7. With the north-node in the first house, the goal is to be assertive and use one's initiative to develop a strong self-identity. This is necessary to counter-balance a past-life tendency of losing sight of oneself when married, in a formal partnership or by only serving other people's needs. It is time now for attention to be placed on personal growth and development of one's own talents and self- expression. “We cannot give to others what we do not have ourselves.”
North-node in 2 - south-node in 8. With this combination we must establish our own set of values, honour and value ourselves. This may require healing emotional hurts or unhealthy sexual habits. We also must be financially independent and not rely on others to provide for us. Instead, focus on establishing life prosperity and willingly sharing with others. There is a spiritual truth that applies to this situation - “To those who give, all will be given.”
North-node in 3 - south-node in 9. The goal is to develop a community-minded spirit and make new and healthy connections with people in the local environment. Learn to listen rather than preach and be open- minded to new ideas and develop good communications with siblings and neighbours. This will prevent living in an ivory tower composed of one's own rigid philosophical or religious beliefs and therefore being unapproachable.

The task is to put down stable roots and ensure that the family, parents and traditional cultural values are honoured and that they take priority over the career or any search for glory. This does not mean we cannot have these. Just ensure that career drives and worldly ambitions do not become so consuming, they cause a serious breach with the important people who are foundational to the life.
North-node in 5 - south-node in 11. Development of one's creative talents and using them to bring joy to people's lives is the task - especially with children who are in our care. Avoid cutting time with them to be with friends or to pursue social interests to the detriment of this. An important goal is to spend quality time with those we love and who bring joy into our lives.

It is important to develop useful skills to make a living in a profession, industry or craft that is enjoyed. Being busy, doing something constructive, will help to give life tangible meaning and purpose. Above all else, avoid becoming a recluse and hiding away from life.

Positive emphasis in the house of partnerships means we should be less self-absorbed and I-focused, and instead, develop good relationship skills and put time and energy into building positive and harmonious unions. Healthy and loving relationships should be easy to form if the effort is made - the universe is encouraging us to move in that direction.
North-node in 8 - south-node in 2. The desire nature needs to be purified and balanced and an old, debilitating psychological pattern may need to be transformed. This may mean developing a healthy and balanced sex life to overcome past life impotency, sexual promiscuity or prostitution. It may require learning to share money and resources with others to counter-balance past-life selfishness or greed. The study of psychology will aid the transformational process. So, will joining an esoteric group and practicing techniques such as mindfulness and Raja Yoga.

There is a need to rise above and leave behind, outdated ideas learned in childhood that now limit progress. Some with this placement may travel the world and have important life-changing experiences with people from foreign cultures or races.

Working towards higher ambitions and aspirations should be followed, even if it requires sacrifices to be made with family duties. Such obligations have been fulfilled in a previous life so there is no reason to feel guilty as long as reaching the goal will bring benefit and rewards to the family in the long run.
