Exercise 5: Read houses, signs on cusps and planets in the houses - Princess Diana.
This is an extension of Exercise 4, where attitudes to houses were interpreted. This is repeated with Diana's chart, but adds planets in the houses. In column 1 are the house numbers and the signs on the house cusp. In column 2 are the planets in the house and the signs they are in.

- House 2. Diana's values were practical
- (Capricorn), but also humane (Aquarius) - she liked to share. She was very generous (Jupiter) with people, with humanity (Aquarius). She wanted to heal the hurts of the world (Chiron) and giving of her time and money was a way to do this.
- House 5. She was practical and hands-on with her children and sensuous as a lover.
- House 7. Diana's initial attitude to marriage was to communicate freely and lightly (Gemini on the seventh house cusp). But once her emotions were engaged (Sun in Cancer), she could be sensitive, protective and defensive. When unhappy, she would communicate emotionally, withdraw into her shell, be moody and sulk (Mercury in Cancer retrograde).
- House 8. Emotional hurts (Cancer) would compel
- Diana to transform herself and her life so she could be in control (Leo). Meditation and other New Age practises (Uranus), helped her to move forwards (node). However, at a deeper level (planets in a third sign in the house - Virgo), anger and resentment, attack thoughts about others and herself (Mars, Virgo) festered. This would be self-destructive (Pluto) if not healed.
- House 10. A very important goal of Diana's (MC) was to be fair with everyone and considerate. She was idealistic (Neptune) and intense and would fight (Scorpio) for her causes.
