4. Eclipses
A solar eclipse occurs when the moon gets between earth and the Sun, and the Moon casts a shadow over carth. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes directly between the Sun and earth and its shadows fall upon carth's surface.
- When an eclipse makes an impact on the natal or progressed chart, it represents an unforeseen event is coming into the life that can set us on a totally new path.
- Lunar eclipses herald emotionally-charged changes. Solar eclipses, vitalisation of the physical body and affairs in the outer life.
- The sign and house the eclipse occurs in, directly influence the nature of the event.
- The method involved to bring about this change can be easy or hard. This depends upon the type of aspect the eclipse point makes. As usual, hard aspects (and conjunctions) hard experiences, etc. However, the eclipse effect can be moderated. For example, an eclipse on the Sun can represent lowered vitality. But if the Sun has many easy natal or transit aspects; these aspects are vitalised as well, bringing more fortunate results.
- Events can manifest just before or after an eclipse occurs, or unfold within a year after the eclipse.
- The key to making the most of an eclipse is to remember that something old has to go (the obscuring aspect), so that something new can come in.
