400 DHY The Theme of Living Consciousness

The theme of this paper is to demonstrate the hylozoic connection of the centers (cosmic, systemic, planetary, and human), group consciousness, group initiation, and the constitution of man.

Introduction

The ancient view of hylozoism embraced by many of the earliest philosophers and religions has been known for many centuries. Hylozoism is the concept that life and matter are one and that the greater includes the lesser. It is what science is beginning to reveal and prove through recent discoveries and methods by which they can measure and extrapolate together findings from all over the world via the internet (the world connector).

“The theme of the living consciousness of the planetary Logos is forever and unchangeably the great Hierarchy of Being, that chain of life in which the smallest link is of importance, and the greatest link is related to the smallest through the electrical interplay of spiritual energy. There is naught—from one important angle of life—but Hierarchy, linking sun with sun, star with star, solar system with solar system, planet with planet and all planetary lives with each other. The major keynote of every single planetary initiation, even to the very highest, is RELATIONSHIP. What other qualities may be revealed to the Initiate on other paths we know not, but the goal of

all endeavour upon our planet is right relations between man and man and between man and God, between all expressions of divine life, from the tiniest atom up and on into infinity.”1

I - Centers

Our solar system is in relationship with six other solar systems and twelve constellations that affect the planes of existence. A cosmic triangle including one of the stars in the Great Bear, the Pleiades and our solar system form three centers in the Body of THE ONE ABOUT WHOM NAUGHT MAY BE SAID. It is a great “cosmic web” containing the etheric bodies of constellations, solar systems, planets, and inhabitants, down to atoms, and whose purpose is the development of consciousness and evolution. Each has profound effects upon all within this great body. Through the seven rays expressed in the twelve cosmic constellations of the Zodiac, energies are “stepped down” and flow through three constellations into our planet: the Great Bear into Shamballa, 1st Ray aspect, Will; through the Great White Lodge on Sirius into the Hierarchy, 2nd Ray aspect, Love-Wisdom; and the Pleiades, 3rd Ray aspect, Active Intelligence, into humanity and the lower kingdoms of nature.

The expression of the cosmic logos:

God the Father—1st Logos—Electric Fire. Great Bear. Sun.

God the Son—2nd Logos—Solar Fire—Sirius. Venus and Mercury

God the Holy Spirit—3rd Logos—Fire by friction—Pleiades. Saturn 2

The Great Bear’s seven stars correspond to the head centers in man; the lower quaternary of the solar system, the Pleiades and two other constellations are synthesized into the higher head centers. Sirius, representing the logoic mind, the fire of mind, and channelled through the Pleiades, is connected with the evolution of mind in the seven Heavenly Men, the planets in the solar system. Humanity is connected with the evolution of manas in the seven Heavenly Men.

The seven centers of the human being are correspondences with these great centers. They create a triangle which is reflected in the human body—the right eye known as the eye of

Buddhi, wisdom and vision, the Son; the left eye of mind including commonsense and sight, the Mother; and the Ajna, the eye of Shiva, the Father, directing will and purpose.

Paths of energies of a particular constellation come in first through a stream to the Sun and are then distributed throughout the planets and inhabitants of the solar system. The sign affecting our solar system at a certain time of the month impacts the particular energies and forces and affects the pranic energy of the planet and everything upon it.

In our solar system there are seven sacred planets and five non-sacred planets (of which Earth is one), seven planetary centers, and seven centers in the human body. They are all linked in an interplay of energies throughout all the bodies through the ray life expressed in the solar Logos, planets, and human lives that affect life and consciousness. The seven systemic planetary centers are: Vulcan, 1st Ray; Mercury, 4th Ray; Venus, 5th Ray; Jupiter, 2nd Ray; Saturn, 3rd Ray; Uranus, 7th Ray and Neptune, 6th Ray. Each represents on Earth the seven Spirits before the throne of God in Shamballa, which represents the first ray and head center of the Earth. It is through this center that the Hierarchy, representing the heart and second ray center, and Humanity, representing the throat and third ray of active intelligence center, evolve and develop through stages of initiation. Man’s seven centers are reflections of the seven rays in the etheric body of the cosmic, systemic and planetary centers.

Two planets representing the solar centers are given to us at this time: Venus, the heart center and Saturn, the throat center, as synthesizing the lower centers.3 A conjecture of the other planets and related centers are: Sun… synthesizing planet, the Resolver; Vulcan…seven centers in the head; Mercury…ajna center; Jupiter …heart center; Neptune…heart in the head; Uranus…base of the spine center, kundalini fire, synthesizing planet.

The ‘platform’ that makes up our solar system includes ten planetary schemes made up of seven chain rounds making one planetary scheme. Seven rounds make one chain period, seven world periods make one round, seven rootraces make one world period, seven subraces make one rootrace. This complex subject can be studied by including cosmic, systemic and planetary angles but the angle being considered has to do with the planetary angle and relationships which outline the history of the scheme and evolution of consciousness of the

individual as well as the Heavenly Man over aeons.

A Scheme is a unit of manifestation of a Heavenly Man, analogous to the Monad of a human being, made up of seven centers, forty-nine globes and seven Chains. The seven sacred planets that form the schemes in our system are: Vulcan, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, the later three being synthesizing planets. A Chain is analogous to the body egoic or causal body of a human. It is made up of seven Globes of dense physical, etheric or higher planes and seven races for the particular incarnations of man. Humanity is now on the fourth globe, in the fourth round of the fifth root-race, the Aryan race, with emphasis on the mental plane. The previous two races were the Lemurian, the third root race, with emphasis on the physical plane coordination, and the fourth—Atlantean, the fourth root race, with emphasis on the astral plane. A Round consists of long cycles of millions of years, and is a particular period of evolutionary growth within a Globe, and these consist of World-Periods, one upon each Globe of the Chain. It is evident that the evolutionary path builds upon all previous cycles of growth and is impacted by the Sun and its energy coming from still higher cosmic sources.

On Earth, Humanity as the throat center of the Planetary Logos, is the instrument of mind or active intelligence on the physical, astral and mental levels. As it is the higher of the three lower kingdoms (mineral, base of the spine center; vegetable, solar plexus; and animal, sacral center), it is considered the macrocosm just as humanity is considered the microcosm of the Planetary Logos. Hierarchy is the heart center of the planetary Logos, embodying Love Wisdom (pure reason) and is in charge of evolution in line with the Divine Plan. They are the Kingdom of Souls and can be considered the spiritual government of the planet with the task of guiding, steering and impressing those who are on the path of spiritual consciousness. It is through them that humanity can learn and develop through the stages of animal-man (spark of mind), kama-manas (desire-mind) into enlightened members of the 5th Kingdom of Souls. They are conditioned by the same energies as humanity and the cosmos. Shamballa as the head center (the spiritual pineal gland) of the planetary Logos is focused on the Divine Purpose. Shamballa represents the Will of God and is the agent of planetary Will. As the synthesizing energy, it is what breathes Life into all life on the planet and embodies Being. All three of these centers are undergoing their own evolution and humanity is important to the divine plan by aiding those above as well as those below, including the three lower kingdoms—animal, vegetable and mineral.

There are seven cosmic planes of existence from the Divine plane down to the physical plane. The Constitution of Man reflects these.

The Divine Planes are:

I. Logoic or divine, God the father, the Will aspect;

II. Monadic, God the Son, the Love-Wisdom aspect;

III. Atmic, God the Holy Ghost, the Active Intelligence aspect;

IV. Buddhic, Christ , Union, At-one-ment. The Buddhic plane is the intuitional plane and it is here that humankind can receive the impressions of higher levels of consciousness from the Spiritual Triad. It acts as the welding principle, a bridge, between the astral vehicle (the VI. Plane), the middle vehicle of the Spiritual Triad, and the Monad on the monadic plane thus linking these three.

The Planes of Human Endeavor consist of:

V. Mental, will;

VI. Astral, love and desire;

VII Physical, activity.

The lower planes are reflections of the higher planes and have importance particularly in the development of consciousness of humanity and initiations.4

II – The Constitution of Man (Rays, Astrology, Chakric unfoldment, Esoteric Healing and the Chakric system)

This section will describe the relation of humanity to planetary, systemic, and cosmic centers in more depth.

“The etheric body of man is also a part of the etheric bodies of the human kingdom, the planet, and all the planets and the sun’s etheric bodies of the solar system, which are a part of the etheric bodies of the solar systems, the constellations and space.” 5

4 Bailey, Alice A. The Light of the Soul (NY: Lucis Trust, 1927) 334-335.

5 Bailey, Alice A. A Treatise on the Seven Rays: Volume 3: Esoteric Astrology (NY: Lucis Trust, 1951) 10-11.

Within the human etheric-physical form there is a complete flow of energy from the monad down to the seven etheric centers in the body. These streams of energy all work together as a whole, intricately linked, and creating a unity and synthesis on the 7 planes.

“Having pervaded the entire universe with a fragment of Myself, I remain,” is the hylozoic expression of Spirit to Soul to Matter and the entire inter-connectedness of everything. This can be demonstrated in the following charts,

▪ Man is made up of 3 distinct parts

1. MONAD OR WILL

2. SOUL OR LOVE

3. PERSONALITY OR INTELLIGENCE/KNOWLEDGE

▪ Each part is again made up of three aspects

> MONAD pure Spirit > SOUL > PERSONALITY
> Will /Power. Spiritual will > Spiritual Will…. Atma. > A mental body.
> Love-wisdom

> Spiritual Love
> Love-wisdom, the Christ

> principle. ….. Buddhi,
An emotional/astral body
> Active Intelligence

> Spiritual Intelligence
> Higher or abstract

> Mind………..Higher Manas.
> A physical body (dense physical) and the etheric body.

Module 450.8 Esoteric Healing 450 course

The Monad reflects itself in the Ego, Higher Self, or Individual. This aspect is potentially:

1. Spiritual Will Atma

2. Intuition Buddhic

Love-Wisdom the Christ principle.

3. Higher or abstract Mind Higher Manas. 6

The Seven Planes of our Solar System, The Constitution of Man.7

7 Bailey, Alice A. Initiation, Human and Solar (NY: Lucis Trust, 1922) xvi.

The Ego begins to make its power felt in advanced men, and increasingly on the Probationary Path until by the third initiation the control of the lower self by the higher is perfected, and the highest aspect begins to make its energy felt. The Ego reflects itself in the Personality, or lower self, physical plane man. This aspect is also threefold:

1. A mental body………. lower manas.

2. An emotional body…… astral body.

3. A physical body……… the dense physical and the etheric body. 8

“The aim of evolution is therefore to bring man to the realisation of the Egoic aspect and to bring the lower nature under its control.” 9

“Prana might be defined as the life-essence of every plane in the sevenfold area which we call the cosmic physical plane. It is the LIFE of the planetary Logos.” 10

The main purpose of the etheric body is the distribution of prana, the life essence, throughout the body. The Ageless Wisdom views prana as ’Absolute Energy’ (Sanskrit), “Vital Force,” vital airs,” all-pervading energy in every atom, cosmic energy, (Fohat/fire), and life essence of the physical plane. There is prana throughout the solar system and it is received by every etheric body. Humanity’s etheric body, like all the others, is made of subtle etheric matter. It is receptive to triadal, soul, mental and astral inner planes and is a transmitter of electrical energy, the dense physical is a receiver of energy. It reflects the three aspects: Life/Spirit, Soul and form/matter as it manifests in soul, mental and astral energy, the seven major centers in the etheric body, the physical glands (which are the precipitations of the centers), the nadis (the etheric nervous system), the physical nervous system, the endocrine system and to the bloodstream.

“The Soul relates the initiate to the Love of God, to the consciousness aspect of Deity, to the Hierarchy as a whole, entering it through the Ashram of the Master Who has aided him to take initiation, to the planets Venus and Mercury, to the Sun Sirius, and to the Heart of the Sun.” 11

The streams of energy follow a particular route directed to all aspects; Will, Spirit to the Great Bear, to Leo and Saturn to Shamballa, the head center; Love-Wisdom, Consciousness, to Sirius, Pisces and Uranus, to Hierarchy, heart center, with emphasis on the intuitional plane; Active Intelligence, to the Pleiades to Capricorn and Mercury, to Humanity, ajna center, with emphasis on the mental plane, and all three to the etheric-physical plane. When a perfect alignment of all the centers, planes, and the synthesizing of these occurs, the Man becomes perfected.

Aquarius is a transmitter of the Ray of Concrete Science, the 5th Ray which rules the mental plane. This plane brings illumination from the higher mental sub-planes to the lower mind which changes the brain cells into a higher vibration. Through Uranus, soul energy and form harmonize and synthesise the higher and lower forces. Uranus, 7th Ray, rules the head center, and Mercury, 4th Ray (Buddhi), the ajna center, the directing force.

“Uranus and Mercury in combination are dualities which the disciple learns to resolve and in the process of this resolution he shifts his focus out of the human kingdom into the fifth kingdom, the Hierarchy of souls.”12

Uranus also rules the sacral center producing the coming together of electric fire and fire by friction, the science of relationship/sex. This is the principle that the solar system is developing. It is the center of the 1st initiation, that of the Birth, having to do with the physical plane, beginnings, relationship and sex magic and vivification of the heart center. As Uranus is the key at the 1st initiation, the 5th Kingdom of God takes place. It is the plan of our planetary Logos, that of the salvation and redemption of matter. Humanity with the aid of the Solar Angels brings this about. Later humanity serves that position in aiding the lower kingdoms in nature. Sirius, cosmic love, Leo, the spiritually re-oriented, self-conscious personality, and Uranus, electric fire, are all important factors for humanity in taking the 1st initiation, “. . . thus, revealing and bringing to the light of day the inner, hidden, spiritual Man.” 13

When this takes place: “. . . the aim is to bring the solar Angel, the Son of Mind…into the seat of power. This task is pre-eminently entrusted to the three great Lives who function through

Gemini-Libra-Aquarius.”14

In Aquarius, the synthesis and order of higher and lower meet, spirit and matter. It must be remembered that both Uranus and the planetary Logos were a part of the first solar system which was ruled by the 3rd Ray. Uranus, being a sacred planet, is now aiding Earth, a non sacred planet, to become a sacred planet. It is related to a triangle of importance to the Planetary and Solar Logos: Pisces—Uranus—Hierarchy which is “becoming magnetically attractive to the triangle of Humanity.” 15

III – Initiation

The Senses

As we evolve, preparing to take initiations, we see the importance of the development of the five psychic senses so that we can consciously use them to navigate all the different planes, from the dense physical plane to the Divine planes. Then it becomes possible to develop the ability to discriminate between the real and the unreal on the different stages of the Path. • Hearing on the Physical plane becomes

• Clairaudience on the Astral plane

• Higher clairaudience on the Mental plane

• Comprehension on the Buddhic plane

• Beautitude on the Atmic plane

Touch on the Physical plane becomes

• Psychometry on the Astral plane

• Planetary psychometry on the Mental plane

• Healing on the Buddhic plane

• Active service on the Atmic plane

Sight on the Physical plane becomes

• Clairvoyance on the Astral plane

• Higher clairvoyance on the Mental plane

14 Bailey, Alice A. A Treatise on the Seven Rays: Volume 3: Esoteric Astrology (NY: Lucis Trust, 1951) 493.

15 Bailey, Alice A. A Treatise on the Seven Rays: Volume 3: Esoteric Astrology (NY: Lucis Trust, 1951) 438.

• Divine vision on the Buddhic plane

• Realisation on the Atmic plane

Taste on the Physical plane becomes

• Imagination on the Astral plane

• Discrimination on the Mental plane

• Intuition on the Buddhic plane

• Perfection on the Atmic plane

Smell on the Physical plane becomes

• Emotional idealism on the Astral plane

• Spiritual discernment on the Mental plane

• Idealism on the Buddhic plane

• All knowledge on the Atmic plane.

On the Path these higher expressions of the senses aid the initiate in achieving the higher initiations.16

Initiations

It is through initiation that we evolve and as evolution is rapidly occurring on planetary levels through Shamballa into the Hierarchy and from there into Humanity, the age-old method of a single individual being initiated must now give way to Group Initiation (which it has always been). Now in the incoming Aquarian Age, humanity is rapidly developing the mind and a greater understanding of the inter-connectedness of all life. Group initiation is a necessary and more efficient method to be used particularly now as greater numbers are ready for the first two initiations of the Threshold. These are taken as a group initiation with the Christ as the initiator. It is the work of the disciple that he purifies the lunar nature (the centres below the diaphragm) so that the soul becomes in charge of the personality and its three vehicles. The first initiation, related to the seventh plane, the physical plane, is ruled by Pluto, and associated with death as it brings to the surface that which needs to be destroyed, and Vulcan, the forger, and fashioner, of the transference of sacral center (Mars) to the throat center (Saturn). The second initiation, is related to the sixth plane, the astral plane, and ruled by Neptune, and a transference of the solar plexus to the heart takes place involving the transmutation of lower emotions into the heart, love-aspiration. The disciple now controls the physical appetites through purification and the

16 Bailey, Alice A. A Treatise on Cosmic Fire (NY: Lucis Trust, 1925). 189

astral desires through transformation due to mental orientation. For the disciple, the goal is to bypass lower mental activity and build the Antahkarana, the thread that links the soul and the personality to the Spiritual Triad—atma, buddhi, manas. This is done through the use of the Science of Approach in meditation. Then impressions come from the intuition and the realm of ideas (spiritual understanding), through the love aspect, and bring together the vehicle(s) of the individual and group spiritual life through recognition, synthesis and unity. These involve the first three initiations. At the fourth initiation, the escape from the world of form and personality (physical/etheric, astral, lower mental) into full spiritual awareness (pure reason) leads eventually to monadic consciousness after the destruction of the causal body.

“The objective of the first two initiations is to enable the disciple to live in the world of meaning; the objective of the next four initiations—up to and including the sixth Initiation of Decision is to enable him to live in the world of significance.”17

In the current Aryan race, the 5th root race, a shift is occurring onto the mental plane from the astral plane. After the third initiation there is a shift to Buddhic consciousness, eventually to become the 6th root race. The earlier races, Lemurian, animal-man, the 3rd root race and Atlantean, the mystic, the 4th root race, had their focus on the physical and astral planes, as mentioned earlier. The result is a pushing upward into the ranks of the Hierarchy as They are preparing for higher initiations and the lower levels need to be filled with initiates and disciples who are collectively preparing as a group for initiation.

Group Consciousness, Group Initiation.

Group consciousness represents the One Soul as the collective awareness of unified souls at different stages upon the path. With added states of consciousness, different life experiences, rays, capacities, and backgrounds, the group becomes a united group with will and cohesion. There is clarity of purpose and direction of the group towards a united goal so that each member in the group works together in service to the Ashram as group focus, group love, identification, cooperation, and alignment.

17 Bailey, Alice A. Discipleship in the New Age - Volume II (NY: Lucis Trust, 1955) 420.

“. . . group enterprise, a group service and a group contribution. The specific contribution of the individual does not appear.” 18

The group builds the group Antahkarana, the rainbow bridge, to access the Spiritual Triad and become focused upon the Buddhic plane after release from the lesser fires of the threefold vehicle, so that pure reason and complete understanding (love-wisdom) can pour through. This is all dependent upon response collectively to group vibration and registering a level of tension that they cohesively maintain to insure an uninterrupted flow of Light from the higher planes into their consciousness. Through contact in meditation, the group on the higher mental plane invokes and then evokes impressions from the Ashram. From there, the disciples can begin to manifest in the world the teachings and forms of service they’ve received, thus externalizing the Ashrams upon the physical plane.

The conditioning rays of group initiations are: at the 1st Initiation, the 7th Ray, the energy of Organisation; the 2nd Initiation, the 6th Ray, the Energy of Idealism and Devotion; the 3rd Initiation, the 5th Ray, the Energy of Concrete Knowledge; at the 4th Initiation, the 4th Ray, the Energy of Harmony through Conflict.19

The conditioning factors behind the focus on particular chakras in a group preparing for initiation are:

1st Initiation—the Physical plane: pranic triangle of shoulder center, center near the diaphragm, spleen

2nd Initiation—the Astral plane: base of spine, solar plexus, heart.

3rd Initiation—the Mental plane: base of spine, heart, throat.

4th Initiation—heart, throat, head (the 4 lesser centers and their synthesis, the Ajna) Spiritual man to the 3rd Initiation—heart, throat, 7 head centers.

Spiritual man to the 5th Initiation—heart, seven head centers, the two many-petalled lotuses. 20

“The burning ground is found upon the threshold of every new advance, until the third initiation has been taken.” 21

The third initiation, the Transfiguration, is related to the third mental plane. The completion stage of the three-fold body is reached and control by the soul takes over. There is a transference from the base of the spine, ruled by Pluto, to the crown. A process whereby the heart center awakens gradually in sequential stages from the 1st to the 4th initiations. The group is able to move forward with intent, through the Door (of Initiation), learns to ‘become the Way’ with new intention, and begins to develop initiate consciousness. Monadic purpose then takes place. The group is now a transmitter for the Solar Angel and serves in the Ashram. The cross conditioning the process of group initiation is the Fixed Cross, the Cross of Transmutation, where desire becomes aspiration and selflessness.

Initiation IV: The Great Renunciation, V: The Revelation, VI: The Great Decision

At the 4th initiation—The Great Renunciation, the initiate has attained a point of balance and equilibrium via meditation, transmutation, transformation and transfiguration, and is controlled by the spirit working through the soul-infused personality. The causal body is shattered and He becomes the vehicle of the Monad, free from reincarnation and the Great Illusion in order to serve the Plan and Purpose. The Heart center opens fully and identification of spirit and soul to Monad now relates to cosmic realities. The Initiate mounts the Cardinal Cross revealing a direct line via the Antahkarana to the Spiritual Triad. It is a bridging initiation between the three lower worlds, form, and the higher initiations, soul and spirit.

21 Bailey, Alice A. A Treatise on the Seven Rays: Volume 5: The Rays and the Initiations (NY: Lucis Trust, 1960) 39.

22

The combination of Leo, the major sign of self/Self-consciousness identity, the fully developed, potent personality, and Aquarius, the sign of group consciousness, produces the world server. Mercury, Saturn, Gemini and Capricorn are involved at this initiation. The fourth plane— Buddhic, governed by Mercury and ruler of Gemini, enlightens and reveals knowledge of the Plan. Saturn, the Lord of Karma, karmic opportunity and ruler of Capricorn, and the Law of Karmic Liability, aids in the removal of obstructions and shatters old worn-out conditions that are no longer needed. Christ consciousness, on the 4th plane of Buddhi and the 4th ray of Harmony through Conflict create at-one-ment.

“…the soul in incarnation definitely, consciously and by the enduring will, renounces all, and turns his back upon the material world, finally and forever”. 23

“A great ‘aloneness’ is the supreme test of the fourth initiation where man stands completely isolated.24

22 Bailey, Alice A. A Treatise on the Seven Rays: Volume 5: Rays and Initiations, (NY: Lucis Trust, 1960) 456, Diagram B

24 Bailey, Alice A. Discipleship in the New Age - Volume II (NY: Lucis Trust, 1955) 759.

The initiate experiences isolation and aloneness and it is Vulcan, the planet that expresses isolation, as it brings the test of detachment and freedom from desire, and helps the disciple become the initiate by destroying all connection to the form world. It is through Aries, a first ray sign, the will, connected to the Pole star, the “star of direction,” and Taurus, “the eye of the Bull,” that reveal the direction to which the Initiate must go. The fourth Ray of Harmony through Conflict, and the third Ray of Active Intelligence, aid in the ability of discrimination between the Dweller and the Solar Angel, the soul and the Monad, in Capricorn.

“. . . the disciple will increasingly register ‘things of the spirit’; he will consequently acquire the facility to penetrate into the world of the Hierarchy and reach eventually the Way of Higher Evolution. He will, again consequently, function efficiently in the three worlds as the serving disciple.” 25

At the fifth initiation, The Initiation of Revelation, related to the first logoic plane, the will aspect is contacted (both within the Spiritual Triad) when monadic consciousness is complete, and the Master, the 5-pointed star, is in full contact with the 5 planes of human evolution. There are three factors involved: “that of Blindness, leading to revelation; of the Will, leading to synthesis; and of the Purpose, externalizing itself through the Plan.” 26

Free of the Great Illusion of the three worlds, and a wider revelation of consciousness upon the higher realms of the Spiritual Triad. The Initiate has climbed the mountain (Buddhic plane) and returns with the will to serve as a ‘service instrument’ in a synthesized form (on all levels) to externalize the Plan as an Arhat or in a mayavirupa, a body created by the Initiate. All the senses (on all levels), the incorporated past, the capacities and gifts are at His disposal and His place within the Hierarchy is clear as well as the Way that must be trodden. He receives and works with revelations, and has a clear understanding of the Rules and Laws. His purpose and service within the Divine Plan are with Revelation, Interpretation, Intention and Will. With a full and precise understanding His use of the will for the Plan proceeds to manifest the Divine Purpose. There is a synthesis of the energy of ideas—including the Light of Day, intuition, spiritual perception, Ray 2 Love-Wisdom, and the will aspect, Ray 1—Power and Will-to-Good of the Presence.

25 Bailey, Alice A. Discipleship in the New Age - Volume II (NY: Lucis Trust, 1955) 196 26 Bailey, Alice A. A Treatise on the Seven Rays: Volume 5: The Rays and the Initiations (NY: Lucis Trust, 1960). 703-718.

He then has: “power to wield light as the carrier of life in the three worlds.”Become lost in the radiant light of revelation” and with his brothers “seeks new light upon the Plan.” 27

These two initiations, the fifth and the sixth, liberate Him onto the Atmic and Monadic planes of consciousness as He has achieved divine indifference due to the Will aspect and is free of all desire, an expression of the Law of Sacrifice, and thus made “holy” His decision. He chooses one of the Seven Ways, independent of His Monadic Ray (though considered).

These Seven Paths are related to the seven cosmic planes:

1) The Path of Earth Service

2) The Path of Magnetic Work

3) The Path of Training for Planetary Logoi

4) The Path to Sirius

5) The Ray Path

6) The Path the Logos Himself is On

7) The Path of Absolute Sonship

At the sixth initiation, the Initiation of the Decision, also related to the first logoic plane, the Initiate is learning to master the cosmic astral plane which opens the Door on to the Way of Higher Evolution and to the atmic and monadic levels, the seven-fold goal.

At the seventh initiation, the Resurrection, the Initiate becomes cosmically oriented. An understanding of the relationship between the microcosm and the macrocosm on the logoic plane takes place and the ability to enter the courts of Shamballa by being free of all earthly attachments. The Initiate is returning to the Father’s house and carries an awareness of extra planetary existence. “Resurrection” means to rise again, returning to the original state of Being. Then birth and death of physical, astral and mental bodies are recreated over and over again. It means the death of all earthly desire and embracing spiritual realities, the death of the personality and of the causal body. Constant death and constant resurrection are the evolutionary keynotes and the techniques.

27 Bailey, Alice A. A Treatise on the Seven Rays: Volume 5: The Rays and the Initiations (NY: Lucis Trust, 1960). 844.

“ We become part of the greater entity our Planetary Logos is part of, the Solar Logos and beyond - the “life more abundantly” of this greater sphere in which we are part and that is finally revealed to us.” 28

At the eighth initiation of The Great Transition, a revelation of the purpose of the whole planetary life and activity is now completed. The Master makes His decision as to which of the seven paths to follow “to His destined place.”

At the ninth initiation, the Initiation of Refusal, the revelation is of the nature of Being, which creates, and of existence. Contact with the “Central Spiritual Sun” indicates the underlying purpose of the solar system and Earth’s relation to the “Heart of the Sun,” the aspect of love, the quality of the solar system. This points to the importance of our little planet within the solar system in relation to the “Heart of the Sun,” “God is Love,” as we are to gain the Love-Wisdom aspect fully and thus become beacons of light.

“From the standpoint of our planetary evolution, there is naught but love, naught but goodwill and the will-to-good. This exists already, and its true manifestation is nearer today than at any time in planetary history.” 29

Conclusion

As set forth in this paper, the significance of what has been somewhat explained indicates that humanity can be free from the deep sense of isolation and instead realize the incoming new revelations. Thereby, we know that we are all One, not separate, divided, fractional parts but rather a fractal of the greater Whole. As a reflection of the higher levels of being and spheres of unending states of consciousness that include all the kingdoms of nature, the planet, the solar system and the cosmos, humanity gains access to a doorway that leads out of the illusion that we are all alone on Earth and in the solar system. The hylozoistic concept that life and matter are one and that the greater includes the lesser will be the reality in the Aquarian Age. Humanity will evolve into its rightful place as part of the Kingdom of Souls when we acknowledge that we are a necessary part of the Cosmos and have succeeded in fulfilling our collective task in it. This brings us hope and the will to good when we recognize our purpose. As we do our work and play our part in the Grand Design, we become those beacons of light that are meant to cover the Earth and serve within the solar system and the cosmos.
